Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) in Colonial Heights, Virginia is hiring for an Assembler on the 2nd shift. You will operate and maintain assembly line machinery, assemble components, and ensure product quality as part of a fast-paced manufacturing team.

The role is onsite with a pay range of USD 16.50–18.50 per hour, with potential commissions based on performance metrics. Attention to safety and production goals will be essential; prior experience is not required for an entry-level candidate.

Qualifications

• Accountable for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing assembly line machinery/equipment at fixed workstation positions.
• Operating machinery/equipment to install a piece/part/component of an in-process product, assembly, or sub-assembly as it moves along the assembly line.
• Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods.
• Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
• Maintaining accurate daily assembly production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assembly line equipment to assemble components.
• Monitor quality and identify defective parts for rework or discard.
• Record daily production data to support performance metrics.
