Baesman Group, a nationally recognized marketing services provider of direct‑to‑consumer and in‑store marketing strategy and execution, is seeking a 2nd Press Operator for our offset sheetfed presses. The Second Press Operator is responsible for assisting the Press Operator in maintaining efficient press operations by ensuring materials are prepared, production speeds are met, and quality standards are maintained. This role requires adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as flexibility in handling additional tasks as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Meet Target Production Speeds

• Assist in setting up and preparing the press for production runs.
• Ensure materials such as paper, ink, and plates are staged for production and returned to inventory accurately and timely.
• Help maintain a steady workflow to support production speed goals.
• Quickly respond to Press Operator requests to minimize downtime.

Ensure Quality Expectations Are Achieved for Each Project

• Monitor printed materials for defects and report issues to the Press Operator.
• Assist with adjustments to ensure proper color, registration, and quality.
• Follow standard procedures to maintain consistency and minimize waste in the pressroom and for downstream departments.
• Keep work areas clean and organized to prevent contamination or defects.

Adhere to Administrative Policies and Company Handbook

• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Assist in maintaining production logs and documentation as required.
• Handle materials and equipment safely to prevent accidents and damage.
• Support press maintenance and cleanup according to company guidelines.

Other Duties as Assigned

• Assist in press wash‑ups, plate changes, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Support team members in meeting production goals.
• Participate in training and skill development programs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support press operations or other production tasks within the plant.

Qualifications, Experience and Education

• Dependable and exceptional work ethic.

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Mechanically inclined, ability to problem solve.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
