Job summary

St. Joseph School District is seeking an Elementary Teacher (2nd grade) for Edison Elementary School. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree and a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate with proper certifications.

The role reports to the Building Principal and follows a 9-month employment term, with eligibility for emergency telework as needed. Preferred qualifications include prior teaching experience. Salary is per the approved teacher salary schedule, with duties including daily classroom

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Missouri Teaching Certificate with proper certifications required.
• Previous teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend work regularly and punctually.
• Telework may be requested by the District.
• Adapt lesson plans and materials to address individualized learning plans.
• Administer developmental and subject-specific assessments.
• Communicate student progress to parents/guardians.
• Collaborate with staff and parents to improve student outcomes.
• Direct other instructional staff and volunteers as needed.
• Facilitate student learning and monitor progress to meet goals.
