Job summary

Envirotest, a subsidiary of Opus Inspection, operates emission testing stations and seeks a Second Assistant Manager to support leadership by managing day-to-day operations and leading the team to ensure a smooth, friendly emission testing experience.

The role includes opening/closing the facility, supervising lane operations, training new inspectors, clearly explaining testing processes to customers, reporting safety concerns, and maintaining a clean, welcoming station environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening and closing facility.
• Conduct emission tests on customer vehicles.
• Oversee lane operations by monitoring traffic flow and wait times.
• Perform system overrides and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of new lane inspectors through the onboarding process.
• Clearly communicate to customers to explain the testing process and test results.
• Report safety concerns, policy violations, or suspicious activity to the Station Manager.
• Creating a clean and professional environment to keep our station clean and welcoming.
• Other duties as assigned.
