Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. seeks an electrician to support electrical teams in designing and installing systems for industrial projects. You will assist designers and engineers, wire components, and ensure adherence to safety standards while documenting material usage and progress.

The candidate should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) with trade school experience, strong NEC knowledge, and solid communication skills. Teamwork and leadership are valued in this workshop environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or relevant experience.
• Two years of trade school or related experience, and/or two years of electrician experience in a similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and NEC electrical codes.
• Ability to read schematics and P&IDs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist technical teams of electricians, designers and engineers to create detailed project work.
• Pre-wiring containers with lights and switches on projects.
• Running wires to pumps, motors and generators according to specs.
• Ensure electrical systems adhere to national electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Record materials used on the job and document progress.
• Bend and install conduit from 1/2" to 4" as required.
• Terminate wires in panels and manage wiring layouts.
• Collaborate in a team environment and contribute to problem-solving.

This position is eligible for a 15% shift differential.Purpose of the RoleResponsible for assisting technical teams of electricians, designers and engineers to create world class detail on a variety of projects. The position will help complete many tasks including pre-wiring containers with lights and switches, and running wires to pumps, motors and generators.Key Responsibilities and DutiesEnsuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations.Reading different types of schematics and P&ID’sRecording materials that are used on the job.Commercial/ industrial experienceBending and installing conduit ranging from sizes 1/2'” to 4”Terminating a variety of wire styles and sizes in panels.Perform all duties and tasks as assigned.Required CompetenciesEducation: High School Diploma preferred or relevant experienceExperience: Two years of trade school or related experience (Preferred) and/or two years of experience as an electrician in a similar-sized institution in an engineering or maintenance occupation.Skills:Working knowledge of local, state and the National Electric Code (NEC).Knowledge of AC and DC wiring is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Demonstrated leadership skills.Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
