Responsabilités

• Provide daily technical and engineering support, including T&E planning and coordination for Aegis BMD Flight and Ground test missions.
• Support TEWG, MPR, MPM, IWG, MER, MRR, IPC, MPC, FPC meetings and related activities.
• Support NSWC PHD Navy Test Officers with planning BMD missions at Navy test ranges.
• Develop test configurations and requirements, mission test plans and procedures, and lessons learned reports.
• Interface with NAVSEA sponsors, MDA and other Government/Contractor personnel involved in BMD missions.
• Develop Operational Overlay documentation including Letters of Instruction, Master Event Sequence Lists and Cards of the Day, mission countdown procedures, and test schedules.
• Provide onsite support for test events and record meeting minutes/action items.
• Support test plan development and on-site execution for various BMD tests and exercises.

Salary Range: $105,000.00-120,000.00 per year

Role and Responsibilities:

Full Time position supporting the TESS Task Order filling the Aegis BMD Senior Systems Engineer position with moderate travel. Duties include Naval Test Officer support by providing planning and coordinating the execution of new BMD systems on both BMD ships and in a ground test laboratory environment. The position is located onsite at NSWC PHD in Port Hueneme, CA. Relocation expenses and a signing bonus are available for qualified candidates.

Position Duties:

• Either Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree and minimum of 10 years’ experience or no degree with a minimum of 16 years technical experience supporting Navy systems experience.
• Provides daily technical and engineering support, including T&E planning and coordination, for Aegis BMD Flight and Ground test missions.
• Support Test and Evaluation Working Group (TEWG) meetings, Mission Planning Reviews (MPR), Mission Planning Meetings (MPM), Interoperability Working Group (IWG) meetings, Mission Execution Reviews (MER), Mission Readiness Reviews (MRR), Initial Planning Conferences (IPC), Main Planning Conferences (MPC), Final Planning Conferences (FPC), Trusted Agent Training, and other meetings as required.
• Supports NSWC PHD Navy Test Officers (NTOs) with planning BMD missions at Navy test ranges.
• Develop test configurations and requirements, mission test plans and procedures, and lessons learned reports.
• Interface with NAVSEA sponsors, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), MDA ABD Program Directorate and various other Government and Contractor personnel involved in BMD missions.
• Develop Operational Overlay documentation including Letters of Instruction, Master Event Sequence Lists and Cards of the Day, mission countdown procedures, Go/No Go Criteria, Participation Matrices, Test Constraints Documents, Test Control Structures, and detailed mission planning and execution schedules.
• Provide onsite support for test events as required including attending classified meetings onsite and participate in unclassified meetings by teleconference, record meeting minutes and action items during planning meetings.
• Support test plan development, milestone meetings, and provide on-site execution support for BMD T&E events to MDA/ABMD, Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Integrated Flight Tests, Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) exercises, the Maritime Theater Missile Defense (MTMD) At-Sea Demonstration/Formidable Shield (ASD/FS) international test exercises, and Pacific Dragon (PACDRAGON) international test events.
• Must be able to adhere to health and safety rules and regulations
• Must have a valid driver’s license with own transportation and able to travel (25-50%).
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete background check and get a government clearance.
• Must be able to follow company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed technical monthly reports.
• Navy A/C School with electronics training

Preferred Skills:

Mandatory Physical Requirements: Must be capable of working aboard US Navy ships pier side and at-sea.
