Job Overview

Position: Call Center Representative – State Grants and Special Programs

Location: Remote (Hybrid – must attend office 2 days a month).

Pay: $16.00/hour, increases to $16.50/hour after 6 months.

Training: 3‑week intensive program. Long‑term shift Monday‑Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls, handle complex account issues, and resolve customer inquiries on first contact.
• Conduct research to determine root cause, update customer and account information as needed.
• Process correspondence, student emails, forms, or other customer documents.
• Advise customers on program eligibility criteria and required documentation.
• Treat complex or escalated callers professionally and assist with resolution.
• Work with individual or multiple customer support lines.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Ability to multi‑task, solve problems, and perform in‑depth research while assisting customers.
• Internet and security requirements: private residential high‑speed internet (≥200 Mbps); wired ethernet or WPA2‑AES Wi‑Fi.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and at least two years of administrative customer service experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Fluent Spanish language skills (plus).
