Job description

Position Summary

Upper School Psychosocial Teacher for grades 8‑12 at Quad Preparatory School for the 2026‑27 school year. Works with students and academic teachers to provide social‑emotional, executive‑functioning, and self‑regulatory support during seminars and throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Empower students by providing scaffolding, modeling, and resources to support learning and maintaining high expectations.
• Coach students in psychosocial and executive‑functioning skills during seminars, classes, work periods, and transitions.
• Facilitate projects and independent activities that nurture student talents and interests in collaboration with academic teachers and the clinical team.
• Establish and continuously monitor individual psychosocial goals and strategies.
• Assist students with personalized projects and daily living skills as scheduled.
• Co‑lead seminar classes, collaborating on curriculum mapping, lesson planning, and ensuring consistent support plans.
• Work cooperatively with administrators, colleagues, and parents to deliver a student‑centered learning environment.
• Participate in training, staff development, required meetings, and special events.
• Attend all faculty and staff meetings, professional development sessions, and required special events (e.g., open houses, Curriculum Night, carnivale).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This role requires working in a school setting, moving around various locations, accompanying students to outdoor spaces, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and occasionally lifting items under 20 pounds. The position includes speaking, listening, typing, and occasional use of stairs.

Position Type and Expected Hours

Full‑time exempt. The academic calendar is late August to late June. Hours are Monday‑Friday 8 am‑4 pm, with occasional evening or weekend commitments.

Compensation and Benefits
