Job summary

Arlington Central School District is seeking Anticipated Part-time Teaching Assistant positions at LaGrange Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. The roles are 25 hrs/week initially, with anticipated 27.5–35 hours per week, September through June.

Starting salary is $16,698, or about $18.05/hour. Benefits include health insurance for 20+ hrs/week, sick/personal days, paid holidays, EAP, 403B options, NYS Teacher Retirement System (pension), and tuition reimbursement up to $1,000.

Qualifications

• Current NYS Teaching Assistant Certification preferred but required prior to January 2027.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and student supervision.
• Support students with learning tasks and behavior management as delegated by the teacher.

Job description

Arlington Central School District is currently recruiting for Anticipated Part-time Teaching Assistant positions at our LaGrange Middle School as indicated below for the 2026-2027 school year.

• (1) 25 hr/wk Part-time General/Special Education Teaching Assistant
  • Starting Salary $16,698

The District offers:

Starting salary is approximately $18.05/hr. However, positions of 25 hours or more are salaried September through June.

Anticipated positions will range in hours approximately 27.5 hours per week up to 35 hours per week.
