Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum age of 21 years old
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
• Three (3) years of general driving experience
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
• Successfully pass a background check
• Successfully pass drug testing and medical qualification standards on the DOT physical for an CDL License
• No prior convictions as specified in SDE New Mexico Standards for School Bus Operations
• Physical abilities to perform the physical tasks required for the position
• Ability to use technology to perform transportation services department responsibilities
• Effective people skills to communicate
• Valid and current New Mexico commercial driver’s license (CDL Class B) with Air Brake, Passenger, and School Bus Endorsement for Bus Drivers or proof of being in a training program
