Job Description

NC DHHS is seeking a highly experienced Senior Java & IBM Curam Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of the NC FAST Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) application. The role involves business and systems analysis, technical design, full‑stack development, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions using Java, ReactJS, and Curam technologies.

The developer will work closely with the FNS program area to implement enhancements from the backlog, resolve defects, and support critical initiatives such as payment error rate reduction, evidence automation, case approvals, and proactive QC alerts. The role also requires strong Curam framework expertise to design and develop rules, batches, interfaces, and SNAP/FNS program logic.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform business and systems analysis, requirements modeling, and technical design for NC FAST modules.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of SNAP/FNS program workflows (preferred).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
