Job summary

Ingles Markets is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide exceptional customer service and accurate dispensing in a high-volume retail setting. You will ensure safety, compliance, and quality while supporting patient relations and community health initiatives.

The role includes administering immunizations, supervising staff when the Pharmacist-in-Charge is absent, and contributing to store-wide safety and operations. A PharmD/BS in Pharmacy and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD is required.
• Licensed Pharmacist registered with state board.
• Certified Immunizer with CPR certification.
• Retail pharmacy experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide pharmaceutical information.
• Dispense prescriptions accurately and maintain patient relations.
• Administer immunizations and vaccines as allowed.
• Supervise pharmacy staff in absence of PIC.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and infection-control standards.

The Pharmacist provides exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of productivity and complying with all safety and sanitation procedures. Key Responsibilites

• Greet customers within 10 feet, answer questions, and provide exceptional service.
• Advise customers and provide product information as needed.
• Request the customer's Advantage Card before each transaction and circle the fuel-point balance on the receipt.
• Provide prompt, professional pharmaceutical dispensing services and maintain strong customer relations.
• Accurately prepare prescriptions and communicate clearly with patients.
• Provide appropriate drug and pharmaceutical information.
• Follow departmental procedures and quality, environmental, safety, and infection-control standards.
• Administer immunizations and vaccines in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Direct pharmacy technicians and cashiers when the Pharmacist-in-Charge is absent.
• Update the Pharmacist-in-Charge on department progress.
• Complete required daily and weekly paperwork.
• Order stock needed for daily operations.
• Train pharmacy staff on technology and equipment as needed.
• Regularly inspect the surrounding area for debris or hazards.
• Follow all store rules and company policies.
• Comply with all local, state, and federal health and civil codes.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree, required
• Related Pharmacist work experience, and previous retail work experience a plus
• Licensed Pharmacist, registered through state board of Pharmacy
• Certified Immunizer and valid CPR certificate
