Job Description

NOTE: This position is for the 2025-2026 school year. The salary will be based on the 2025-2026 salary schedule which is not yet approved by the Board of Education. The salary listed is based on the current year’s salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work effectively with others
• Ability to perform duties within assigned time frames
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

REPORTS TO:

Building Principal

SUPERVISES:

No supervision of other personnel

JOB GOAL:

Assure safety of students in route to school or home

CROSSING GUARD 1.5 hours

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that each student safely crosses the street.
• Positively communicate with students and parents in giving directions.
• All other duties related to job as assigned by the principal.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 169 days per school year

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy in relation to the evaluation of classified personnel.

FLSA: Non-Exempt

CLEARANCES: Non-Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance

Position Type: Part-Time

Salary: $15 to $19 Per Hour
