Job summary

Resolve Tech Solutions is seeking an L1 SAP Basis Support Administrator to join our SAP Managed Services team. This role supports 24/7 SAP environments with monitoring, incident triage, and day-to-day operations.

Ideal for an early-career SAP professional ready to learn, with shift work including Day, Swing, and Night shifts, and weekends/holidays as needed. You will collaborate with L2/L3 teams to ensure availability and performance.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in SAP Basis, SAP administration, IT operations, or enterprise application support.
• Basic understanding of SAP architecture and SAP Basis administration.
• Familiarity with SAP systems such as SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Basic understanding of SAP application servers, instances, work processes, and system landscapes.
• Familiarity with SAP GUI and basic SAP administrative functions.
• Understanding of OS fundamentals, particularly Linux and/or Windows Server.
• Basic knowledge of databases and database connectivity.
• Familiarity with ITIL concepts and incident management processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow documented procedures in a structured operations environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently during assigned shifts while elevating issues when needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SAP systems and infrastructure using established monitoring tools.
• Respond to SAP system alerts and operational notifications promptly.
• Perform initial investigation and triage of SAP incidents.
• Create, update, and manage incidents and service requests in ITSM.
• Escalate issues to L2/L3 SAP Basis teams per procedures and SLAs.
• Perform basic SAP Basis operational activities under supervision.
• Monitor SAP system availability, status, jobs, and performance.
• Monitor SAP application servers and instances for issues.
• Perform basic SAP user administration tasks like password resets.
• Monitor and elevate failed or delayed background jobs.
• Assist with SAP startup/shutdown activities per procedures.
• Support SAP transports checks and escalate transport issues.
• Assist with routine maintenance and scheduled changes.
• Follow SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
• Maintain incident documentation and shift handover notes.
• Communicate critical incidents to senior technical teams.
• Participate in shift handoffs for continuity across Day/Swing/Night.
• Support during maintenance windows, upgrades, patches, and planned activities.
• Maintain awareness of customer SLAs and response/escalation timelines.
