Job summary

Samsung Biologics in Rockville, MD is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician responsible for mechanical maintenance, responding to service calls, and completing in-house repairs across the facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility, utility, and production equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations, using sketches, drawings, or technical instructions.

The role follows a 40-hour week with potential shift work and a 24/7 on-call rotation for alarms and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on facility systems, utility equipment, and selected production equipment.
• Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
• Collaborate with external contractors and service providers to complete maintenance and repair projects.

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on facility systems, utility equipment, and selected production equipment.

• Work effectively with external contractors and service providers to complete maintenance and repair projects.
• Independently resolve complex technical issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions and process improvements.
• Collaborate effectively within the Facilities team and across departments to support operational objectives.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and respond to emergency situations as required.
• Oversee and coordinate external contractors performing facility and equipment-related services to ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards.
• Utilize the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to document work orders, maintenance activities, equipment history, and inventory transactions.
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Promote and reinforce Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and best practices within the work area.
• Identify, communicate, and elevate EHS risks through the appropriate channels to ensure timely mitigation.
• Support a culture of safety by actively participating in safety initiatives, inspections, investigations, and continuous improvement efforts.
