VL Transport 1 Corp in New Jersey is seeking a Delivery Driver to join our team. You will be on the front lines delivering orders to customers, ensuring on-time arrivals, and maintaining safety standards.

The role requires weekend availability, offers a starting pay of $23.75 per hour, and 30–40 hours per week with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid training and PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be 23 or older with a valid standard driver's license (not probationary).
• No tickets in the last 7 years; driving record clean as per policy.
• Able to operate and navigate a delivery vehicle such as Sprinter/Promaster/Rivian.
• Able to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs; able to climb stairs.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver orders on time to homes, retail and business locations.
• Use handheld technology to manage delivery progress and resolve issues.
• Prepare and follow a delivery route to meet promised times.
• Keep delivery vehicle clean and fueled; ensure safe operation.
• Assist in training of other team members when needed.

As a Delivery Driver for VL Transport 1 Corp, you will be on the front lines working directly with our customers and members of your community. It will be your job to exceed customer expectations and make sure all orders, large or small, are delivered on time at the right place.

• Delivery Driver General Responsibilities:
• ** Adhere to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road**
• Interact in a positive and a professional manner with customers and general public while delivering products to customers' homes, retail, and business locations
• Follow up on customer requests or problems with solution oriented approach keeping customer informed of delivery progress
• Use handheld technology to deliver customer packages, manage delivery progress, and solve obstacles
• Sort and prepare a delivery route to meet customer promise
• Ensure delivery vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good operating condition at all times
• May assist in training other team members
• Where appropriate, carry out in delivery station activities including sortation and general tasks
• Work Environment:
• Under tight deadlines, drives a delivery van up to GVWR 10,000 lbs. to many customer residences and businesses, climbs in and out of van, and walks up and down stairs as required to deliver packages according to established procedures in all weather conditions
• Flexibility is key; routes may vary and may be delayed due to traffic from on road congestion, construction, or other factors
• Set core schedule, but there may be adjustments, including additional hours and potential schedule changes depending on time of the year and peak seasons and other factors
• Deliver Driver Basic Qualifications:
• Possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence
• Proficient in English sufficient to meet US DOT standard of ability to read road signs and communicate with regulatory personnel
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Must be available weekends
• Holds high ethical standards at all times
• Proven track record of reliability
• Prior professional driving experience
• Prior experience representing a well-regarded consumer brand with professionalism
• Excellent attention to detail with skill set to problem solve independently
• Demonstrate strong communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work in a self-directed environment with an upbeat attitude
• Ability to work with a team in a fast paced, ever changing environment
• Delivery Driver Job Requirements:
• Ability to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, and/or stretch during shifts up to 10 hours long
• Ability to operate and navigate a van up to GVWR 10,000 lbs.
• Ability to effectively operate a GPS
• Ability to lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 50 pounds each
• Capable of moving up and down stairs
• Possess a valid driver’s license in the state of residence

Qualifications:

• MUST be 23 or older and have a valid standard driver’s license, not probationary
• MUST HAVE NO TICKETS IN THE LAST 7 YEARS. . LESS THAN 7 YEARS DRIVING IS OK. MINIMUM 3 YEARS WITH US DRIVER LICENSE
• Must be able to operate and navigate a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 or Ram Promaster 3500 or Rivian Electric Delivery vehicle ( training provided)
• Must be able to move boxes up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to easily get in and out of the van, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must have good communication skills and the ability to work well with customers.
• Must be punctual.
• Overtime required for Prime and Peak season
• Driving: 3 years (Required)
