Backer Hotwatt, Inc. in Danvers, MA is seeking a Quality Technician to support the QA process, inspecting materials, components and finished products to ensure they meet specifications. You will work with production, engineering and management to maintain product integrity.

The role emphasizes testing, documentation, CAPA support, and adherence to ISO 9001 standards, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration in a full-time, on-site position.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other metrology instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of quality systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with quality documentation systems.

Responsabilidades

• Perform in-process, final, and incoming inspections using measurement tools, visual criteria, and test equipment.
• Interpret and apply technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and quality standards to inspection tasks.
• Document nonconformances and work with production and engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, tests, and audits.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) efforts.
• Assist in calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment.
• Participate in internal audits and support compliance with ISO or other regulatory/quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality systems and processes.
• Help train employees on quality procedures and inspection criteria as needed.
• Promote and adhere to safety, environmental, and workplace policies.

The Quality Technician at Backer Hotwatt, Inc. is responsible for supporting the quality assurance process by inspecting materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet required specifications and standards. Working closely with production, engineering, and management, the Quality Technician helps drive continuous improvement and maintains product integrity through testing, documentation, and analysis.

What We Are Looking For

Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education preferred.
· 2+ years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role in a manufacturing environment.
· Familiarity with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other metrology instruments.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
· Working knowledge of quality systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with quality documentation systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, or Six Sigma.
· Previous experience working in an ISO-certified or regulated industry.
· Familiarity with ERP systems for quality tracking and reporting.
