Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Tech Research Intern for a 2027 summer program based at the Auburn Hills HQ and Technology Center in Michigan. The role is on-site five days a week with a May–August 2027 schedule and relocation assistance eligibility for qualified candidates.

Interns will be assigned to PDT and may work in Powertrain, Energy Storage, Innovation, or Advanced Autonomy areas. Deliverables include real project work, mentorship, and opportunities to interview for future full-time roles.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the internship.
Willingness to relocate for internship, if applicable.
Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Complete a real assignment project with deliverables that matter.
Collaborate with the Tech Research team across PDT areas (Powertrain, Energy Storage, Innovation).
Prepare and present project updates to Senior Leadership and stakeholders.

2027 Tech Research Summer Internship

INTERNSHIP FORMAT:

This internship will follow an in-person model. Interns will be based at the Stellantis Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and are expected to work on-site 5 days per week, depending on business needs. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates who meet specific eligibility criteria. The internship program is scheduled to run from May through August 2027.

As an intern within the Tech Research team,you may work within one of the following areas:

Powertrain Systems & Controls
Energy Storage
Innovation and Strategy Execution
Advanced Autonomy & Disruptive Synthesis

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering at an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited program
Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the internship
Must be willing and able to work in a plant environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications
Willingness torelocateforinternship, if applicable
Completion of freshmanyear or higher at an accredited college or university by the spring of 2027
Authorized to work in the United States

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various organizational levels and with external partners
Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and achieve goals in a fast-paced environment
Proven leadership in academic pursuits, extracurricular activities, or service organizations
Strong interest in the Automotive Industry
