Job summary

DoubleLine Group LP, a Los Angeles-based investment management firm, offers a Fixed Income internship designed to expose students to both risk management and investment management perspectives.

Throughout June to August 2026, you will gain knowledge in portfolio and security analyses, support analysts with day-to-day workflow, monitor risk, and collaborate on ad-hoc research projects, with emphasis on fundamental and quantitative economic analysis.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program in business administration, economics, or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Interest/experience in investment management.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of the asset management industry.
• Provide day-to-day workflow support to Analysts.
• Support risk management monitoring and portfolio management processes.

Job description

DoubleLine is an investment management firm and registered investment advisor located in downtown Los Angeles, with AUM of over $95 billion as of June 30, 2026. The Internship program provides an introduction to the universe of Fixed Income. Specifically, it will involve working with both the risk management and investment management teams. A reasonable goal by the end of the internship is to gain knowledge into portfolio and security analyses, including conducting basic risk analysis for portfolios and strategies, collaborating with investment teams to monitor sector trends and other ad-hoc research projects. There will be an emphasis on fundamental and quantitative economic analysis.Program dates: June 08 - August 12, 2026Job FunctionsGain an understanding of the Asset Management industryAcquire knowledge, understanding, and analysis abilities across investment landscapeProvide day-to-day workflow support to AnalystsSupport the broader risk management team in monitoring firm riskGain exposure to the investment management team by supporting them throughout the portfolio management processConduct ad-hoc portfolio and security analysisMust be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program and pursuing a degree in business administration, economics, or related field.Interest/experience in the investment management businessMinimum GPA of 3.5Anticipated 2028 graduation date preferredFamiliarity with Python or R is a plusExperience using generative AI or AI-assisted tools for coding, research, data analysis, or other work in professional or academic settings is preferred.Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail and excellent work ethicStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively both individually and as a teamHourly Rate of PayThe rate of pay for this position is $25 per hour, with eligibility for overtime pay.
