Job summary

Arlington/Roe offers a hands-on summer internship designed to show what it takes to be a managing-general agent and wholesale insurance broker. The program includes rotational learning across divisions, learning from industry professionals, and a compensated schedule.

The internship is in-person, lasts 8–10 weeks, runs Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and housing accommodations may be provided based on location.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0 or better.
• Open to all class levels.
• Business-related major required (Insurance & Risk Management major or minor preferred).

Responsibilities

• Rotational learning through our specialty divisions to understand how a managing-general agent and wholesale broker operate.
• Learn from underwriters, brokers, company representatives, agents and management.
• Internship is in-person, lasts 8–10 weeks, with a Mon–Fri schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Overview:

The Arlington/Roe summer internship program is designed to help students understand what it takes to be a managinggeneral agent and wholesale insurance broker in the Excess & Surplus Lines marketplace. The intern will have the opportunity to learn from underwriters, brokers, company representatives, agents and management during the internship. The internship program includes rotational learning through our variety of specialty divisions, learning a variety of functions. Our internship program is in-person and generally lasts 8-10 weeks with a start date beginning of June to mid-August. Working hours will be Monday-Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM. This is a compensated internship. Housing accommodations will be offered, if applicable based on location.
