Job summary

Perry Homes in Houston, TX, is seeking a New Home Starts intern to join our foundation team. You will design, plan, organize and execute employee volunteer events, handling logistics, safety, and day-of operations to create a meaningful experience.

As part of the role you will assist with documentation for new job setups, payments tracking, builder certifications, and releases, working closely with the New Home Starts Managers and Project Planners to keep workflows moving smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; current university enrollment required.
• Willing to work 40 hours per week Mon-Fri.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing and organizing documentation related to new job creation setups and legal paperwork.
• Support the processing and tracking of New Home Starts payments and expense reconciliation activities.
• Assist with reviewing and organizing builder certification documentation.
• Provide administrative support to New Home Starts Managers to help ensure releases are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist Project Planners and Project Coordinators with departmental workflow and administrative tasks as needed.

As the New Home Starts intern you will work with the director of the Perry Homes Foundation to design, plan, organize and execute an employee volunteer event. The intern will ensure all logistics, communication, safety considerations, and day-of event operations run smoothly to deliver a meaningful and well-organized volunteer experience.
