Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan offers a full-time paid internship designed for current four-year university students or recent graduates in North America. The program runs May through August and is based in Phoenix, at our Collaboration Hub. This is a hands-on, in-person internship with no visa sponsorship eligibility.

You will perform MIS-related duties under supervision, including dashboard work in SCCM, run book creation, and operational support. Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis is required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in a four-year university or recent graduate within 12 months in MIS or Computer Technology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented and able to work under pressure.

Our internship program is designed for full-time students currently enrolled at an accredited four-year university and recent graduates in North America. These are temporary full-time paid positions that usually run from May through August. This position is not eligible for Freeport-McMoRan immigration work visa sponsorship.

Where You Will Work

Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in accounting and finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. Interns will work at our Collaboration Hub at the Cotton Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration.

Phoenix is the capital of the Grand Canyon State and enjoys mostly bright skies throughout the year. It is the perfect place if you enjoy the outdoors, love sports, concerts and other big city amenities or technology. There are great neighborhoods around Phoenix, with easy access to a major city, nature, the arts and many more amenities.

What You Will Do

Under general supervision, performs MIS related duties assigned per department. As such responsibilities are carried out; unscheduled and scheduled overtime may be required. Also may be required to work outside of normal working hours. This position will be performed in person at one of our corporate offices.

• Document and execute Group Policy Objects (GPO) cleanup.
• Analyze requirements and build SCCM license compliance dashboards.
• SCCM PXE image and task sequence testing.
• Creation or revision of operational and troubleshooting run books.

What You Bring To Freeport

• Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year university, pursuing a degree, bachelor’s or higher, in an appropriate MIS or Computer Technology discipline or closely related field; OR
• Recent graduate (having graduated within 12 months prior to internship start date) with a degree, bachelor’s or higher, in MIS, or Computer Technology or closely related field.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Possesses strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Highly accurate and detail oriented.
• Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates initiative, organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure.
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposed to: SharePoint document management, MS Project and data analytics.

• The estimated pay range for this role is currently $23.5 0 - $29.25/hour. In dividual pay rates will be based on level of education and relevant experience.
