Job summary

Perry Homes in Houston seeks an Estimating Analyst Intern to support audit of takeoffs, data collection, and budget analysis. You will work with the Estimating team on reports, learn cost trends, and assist with special projects.

You must be enrolled in a university, have a high school diploma, and be proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Expect a 40-hour week and a fun, developmental internship experience.

Responsibilities

• Audit existing takeoffs and data as requested by Estimating team.
• Assist Sr. Estimating Analyst with variance/budget audits.
• Run reports and format templates to analyze data.
• Review blueprints and takeoffs to collect data for reporting.
• Create and maintain spreadsheets for data collection.
• Coordinate with Estimating team to update takeoffs as needed.

The Estimating Analyst Intern is primarily responsible for auditing existing takeoff, collecting various pieces of data as requested by the Estimating team, and assisting the Sr. Estimating Analyst with variance/budget audits.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Estimating Reports


• Assist Sr. Estimating Analyst in running reports and formatting templates to analyze data


• Analyze variances and budgets to identify cost trends outside of established tolerances


• Data Management


• Review blueprints and takeoff to collect data as instructed for future reporting


• Create, organize, and maintain spreadsheets for data collection


• Takeoff Audits


• Review takeoff to identify items and quantities outside of typical usage


• Coordinate with Estimating team to update takeoff as needed


• Miscellaneous


• Complete special projects as requested

Requirements

• High School Diploma and current enrollment in university required


• Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
