Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) invites students to join a 12-week summer internship program. You will work on real-world engineering challenges, paired with a mentor, and build your professional network through intern events and cross-functional collaboration.

You'll gain hands-on experience with industry software, develop communication skills, and contribute to projects while ensuring security and data privacy. May/June 2027 start date with August/September 2027 end date. On-site work mode.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Anticipated graduation date December 2027 or later.
• GPA of 2.8 or higher.

• Ongoing support to grow personally and professionally.
• Present in annual Intern Expo to showcase assigned internship project.
• Gain hands-on experience with industry-relevant software and tools aligned within your field of study.
• Demonstrate effective and open communication.
• A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited institution with a graduation date of December 2027 or later
• 2.8 GPA or higher

Additional Information

• This position’s work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
• The internship has a start date of May/June 2027 and end date of August/September 2027.
• Interview process/selection process will begin at or around November 2026 - March 2027.
• Transcripts will be verified during the on-boarding process.
• This position requires you to be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship.
