Job summary

Hallmark invites a curious and creative intern to join the eGreetings team for a 12-week summer internship. You will research consumer trends, develop concepts for animated, video-based greetings and work with Creative and Digital teams to translate ideas into storyboards and recommendations.

You will gain hands-on experience in personalization, interactivity and social sharing while contributing to potential product development and consumer engagement strategies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Graphic Design, Animation, Motion Design, UX, Interactive Media, Creative Technology, Film/Video Production or related field.
• Graduation date of December 2027, May 2028, December 2028, May 2029, December 2029, or May 2030

Responsibilities

• Research consumer behaviors, creative trends and digital connection experiences.
• Explore opportunities for animated, video-based and interactive greetings.

eGreetingsCreative Intern

This internship focuses on the future of digital connection through animated, interactive, and video-based greeting experiences. Interns will research consumer trends, explore emerging digital behaviors, and develop concepts that help Hallmark engage younger and new consumers through innovative digitalgreetingsexperiences. Interns will partner with creative, digital, and media teams to develop concepts, storyboards, and recommendations that could influence future product development

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Graphic Design, Animation, Motion Design, User Experience (UX), Interactive Media, Creative Technology, Film/Video Production, or a related field
• A graduation date of December 2027, May 2028, December 2028, May 2029, December 2029, or May 2030

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume and application will stand out if you are:

• Demonstrated interest in digital content, creative storytelling, emerging media, interactive experiences, or consumer engagement
• Passionate about how people connect and communicate through digital platforms, social media, video, gaming, or emerging technologies
• Familiarity with social, cultural, and consumer trends relevant to Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences
• Skilled at generating creative ideas and translating them into visual concepts, storyboards, mockups, presentations, or prototypes
• Familiar with content creation tools, design software, video editing, animation, or other digital creative platforms
• Comfortable collaborating across creative and business disciplines and incorporating feedback into evolving concepts
• Experience through coursework, publications, student organizations, freelance work, or personal creative projects is a plus
• Portfolio, concept boards, storyboards, videos, design samples, content examples, or other creative work encouraged but not required

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

• Our internship program is12 weekslong, starting in late May and ending in early August.
• This summer internship is a hybrid position, with the flexibility to work from both our recently renovated headquarters building in Kansas City, MO, and from your summer residence within the KC metro area.
• Some relocation and housingassistanceisprovided for interns whose permanent address is outside of the KC metro area. Relocation isrequiredfor this role.
