PIMCO in Austin offers a 10-week Summer Intern - Technology Analyst, Software Engineering that blends finance and software development. Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering or a similar major.
  • Must begin full-time employment at the Austin office between Jan 2028–Aug 2028.
  • Must be enrolled during Fall 2027 (Aug 2027–Dec 2027).
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA (4.0 scale).
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside engineers, developers, investment professionals, and analytics teams to develop cutting-edge software and deliver value-add tools.
  • Participate in a 10-week program from early June to mid-August with training and mentorship.
  • Gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools and learn about PIMCO's technology ecosystem.
