Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience.
• Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution during the summer program.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis - sources, compiles, and interprets data; analyzes data for accuracy and efficiencies; communicates outputs.
• Operational Support - provides daily support for business operations by responding to inquiries and improving standard practices.
• Identifying Objectives - determines business needs via analysis and reporting; suggests strategies; communicates specs and plans.
• Reporting - produces reports based on data analysis and trends; conveys patterns and improvements.
• Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects.
• Accountabilities may include research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvements, and technology enhancements.
• Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking, and community service events.
• Have a dedicated manager and program manager to navigate the bank and internship program.
• Be assigned a project to improve a process or solve a problem; present at internship close.
• Prepare a wrap-up presentation to share accomplishments with division leadership.

This position supports the Sales Performance and Analytics Strategy team at First Citizens Bank. The role performs advanced data analysis to identify factors that affect business profitability, growth, and efficiency.Assesses current practices, collects information and industry trends, and creates specifications to support business operations.Determines improvements or solutions to address identified issues.Prepares technical reports by examining and summarizing data. And will have a primary focus on supporting data and integration for the Sales Performance Management system.

We are looking for candidates who are within a commutable drivable distance to our Raleigh, NC office.

Assists in implementing recommended modifications and enhancements. May serve as an analytics resource to wider organization or business units.
• Identifying Objectives - Determines overall business needs through analysis and reporting. Suggests strategies to achieve company and department goals. Assists in creating specifications, project plans, or other forms of documentation to communicate business initiatives to wider work group.
• Reporting - Produces reports based on data analysis, industry trends, and process capabilities. Conveys patterns, problems, and areas of improvement.
• Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects.
• Accountabilities can and may include areas such as research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, as well as technology enhancements and support.
• Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking and community service events.
• Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help you navigate the bank and the internship program.
• Be assigned a project, designed to improve a specific process or solve a problem that you will present at the close of the internship.
• Prepare a wrap-up presentation to be shared with the division leader and other key stakeholders in the company to outline your accomplishments and experience during the internship
