Job summary

Sanofi is hiring a 2027 Summer Intern Pharmacovigilance Scientist in Swiftwater, PA for 8-12 weeks. The internship offers mentoring, exposure to PV processes, and the chance to contribute to global safety activities.

You will work with a team to interpret safety data, learn regulatory frameworks, and apply AI-driven approaches under supervision. Ideal candidates are PharmD students, authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PharmD in the summer after your first (P1) or second (P2) professional year.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship at application or in the future.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the co-op/internship.
• Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday to Friday for the full duration of the co-op/internship.

• Critically evaluate, interpret, synthesize, and present safety data clearly in writing and verbally.
• Obtain experience with clinical development and marketed products to understand PV.
• Lead, engage, coordinate, and collaborate cross functionally with internal teams and external partners/authorities.
• Understand the roles of other functional areas within PV and key players in the organization.
• Demonstrate knowledge of global legislation in safety and risk assessment/management.
• Develop and implement AI-driven PV solutions to enhance signal detection and risk assessment.
• Be self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and timelines.

Main Responsibilities

About you

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) in the summer after your first (P1) or second (P2) professional year.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the Internal requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the co-op/internship.
• Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday to Friday for the full duration of the co-op/internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for datacompilation, analysis, and presentation
• Experience reviewing, organizing, or interpreting data sets through coursework, research projects, or prior work experience
• Exposure to clinical development, regulatory affairs, or FDA regulations through coursework, internships, or pharmacy school rotations
• Interest in or exposure to AI, machine learning, or data science applications inhealthcare or pharmaceutical settings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complexinformation clearly to cross-functional audiences
• Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiplepriorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Compensation

The salary range for this position is$32.00 - 35.00 USD hourly. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
