Job summary

ERMCO is offering a Summer Intern program in a dynamic manufacturing and corporate environment. Interns will work with experienced professionals on real business initiatives and gain exposure to the electrical utility industry.

Opportunities may be available in Engineering, Finance, Sales and Marketing, HR, Supply Chain, IT, Operations, Quality, and other corporate functions. Assignments vary by business needs and intern qualifications.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Pursuing a degree related to Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting, HR, Supply Chain, IT, Operations, or related field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day activities and strategic projects within the assigned department.
• Assist with data collection, analysis, reporting, and presentation development.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and team initiatives.
• Conduct research and provide recommendations to improve processes, efficiency, or business outcomes.
• Collaborate with team members to complete assigned projects and deliverables.
• Present project updates and final recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
• Follow company safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrate ERMCO's POWER Values in daily interactions and work activities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Pursuing a degree related to the area of assignment, such as Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professionalism in a business setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship, co‑op, leadership, campus organization, or project experience.
• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
• Interest in manufacturing, operations, engineering, or corporate business functions.
• Experience with data analysis, project management, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
