Underwriters Laboratories Inc. is seeking a Marketing Intern for our Northbrook, IL team. This hybrid role involves 3 days on-site at the Northbrook Office, with opportunities to gain real-world marketing experience across digital, content, campaigns, events, analytics or operations.

You’ll contribute to campaigns, draft content, support CMS and SEO tasks, and perform market research while learning from a values-driven team committed to safety and growth.

• Support digital campaign activities across social, email, web, paid media, planning and performance tracking.
• Draft or refine content for social, email, web copy or internal communications.
• Assist with website updates, CMS tasks or SEO as applicable.
• Conduct market, audience or competitor research to inform projects.
• Support event prep, logistics or post-event follow-up as needed.
• Maintain documentation and team coordination.

As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team inNorthbrook, IL.

This role is hybrid - 3 days a week on-site at the Northbrook Office.

Responsibilities

During the internship, specific project assignments will be identified based on business priorities, learning goals and opportunities across marketing domain areas such as digital, content, campaigns, events, analytics or marketing operations. Your internship will immerse you in UL Solutions’ inclusive culture, where our core values of Safety, Integrity, Respect and Growth guide everything we do.

• Support selected digital campaign activities, which may include social, email, web, paid media, planning, activation or performance tracking
• Draft or refine content for relevant channels, which may include social media, email, web copy or internal communications
• Support website updates, CMS activities or SEO tasks as applicable to the assigned project
• Conduct market, audience or competitor research to inform assigned marketing projects
• Assist with event preparation, logistics or post-event follow-up when aligned to the project scope
• Maintain documentation and supporting team coordination needs
• Follow the UL Standards of Business Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices
• Support additional marketing projects and team priorities as assigned

Qualifications

• Rising Senior currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in: Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or similar
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail
• Effective collaboration skills with a customer‑centric mindset
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast‑paced, values‑driven environment
• Interest in business strategy, marketing performance and analytical thinking
• Basic understanding of digital marketing platforms and Microsoft Office tools

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with social media scheduling tools
• Interest in responsibly using AI tools to support marketing work
• Basic knowledge of analytics or reporting tools
• Any prior marketing or content experience (academic or extracurricular)

Total Rewards: The hourly rate for this role is $25.00. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus to assist with housing, travel, and other relocation expenses, subject to terms and conditions.
