This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end financial reporting processes, including data validation, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of management reporting packages.
• Leverage AI-enabled technologies, data visualization platforms, and analytical tools to evaluate large datasets, improve process efficiencies, and generate actionable insights to support management decision-making and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with teams across Commercial Banking, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, and Technology to execute projects, solve business challenges, and support key strategic initiatives.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives by documenting existing workflows, identifying control enhancement opportunities, and helping implement automation solutions.
• Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects.
• Accountabilities can and may include areas such as research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, as well as technology enhancements and support.
• Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking and community service events.
• Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help you navigate the bank and the internship program.
• Be assigned a project, designed to improve a specific process or solve a problem that you will present at the close of the internship.
• Prepare a wrap-up presentation to be shared with the division leader and other key stakeholders in the company to outline your accomplishments and experience during the internship

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience
• Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program)
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program

Preferred qualifications

• Current Junior/rising Senior
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with data visualization and analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel Power Query, Alteryx, SQL, Python, or similar platforms.
• 3.0 minimum GPA
• Strong desire to learn and grow
• Possess a positive attitude, naturally curious and enjoys collaborating with others
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to adapt and adjust priorities based on business needs

Additional Information

The base pay for this position is generally between $21.51/hour and $32.89/hour. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
