UL Solutions is seeking a 2027 Summer Intern in Functional Safety/Autonomy Safety Engineering for our Northbrook, IL location. This hybrid role requires 3 days on-site per week and offers hands-on experience in safety engineering, cybersecurity, and autonomous systems within a global team.

You’ll work on a 10-12 week project, with mentoring and development opportunities to make a real-world impact. The program targets rising seniors pursuing degrees in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Software

Qualifications

• Rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Commitment to safety and cybersecurity concepts is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Support Functional Safety/Autonomy Safety projects in Northbrook, IL during the internship period.
• Contribute to safety engineering analyses, reviews, and documentation.
• Collaborate with a global team of experts to learn and apply best practices in safety engineering.

This role is hybrid - 3 days a week on-site at the Northbrook Office.

Qualifications

What we offer:

Total Rewards:The hourly rate for this role is $27.00 - $28.00. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus to assist with housing, travel, and other relocation expenses, subject to terms and conditions. Your internship will consist of a 10-12 week long project, networking, learning & development opportunities, and will provide you with the opportunity to make a real world impact.
