Job summary

Hubbell Summer Intern: Engineering - Design program offers a 10 to 12-week opportunity in the United States to gain corporate experience, learn about Hubbell, and prepare for a career with the company.

The intern will help develop surge arrester materials and designs, collaborate with engineering teams on prototypes, testing, data analysis, and present results, gaining hands-on experience in product innovation and electrical testing. Compensation is hourly based on academic standing.

Qualifications

• Full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university May–August 2027, pursuing a related degree (required).
• Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred.
• Familiarity with relevant software and systems.

2027 Summer Intern: Engineering - Design

The Hubbell Internship Program is a 10 to 12-week program providing students the opportunity to gain corporate experience, learn about all aspects of our business, and prepare students with the kind of experience needed to have a rewarding career at Hubbell.

This intern will support the development of innovative surge arrester materials and designs, including projects that explore AI-driven material formulation and solutions to enhance safety and fire prevention. The intern will collaborate with engineering teams on prototype development, testing, data analysis, and presentation of results, gaining hands‑on experience in product innovation and electrical testing.

What will help you thrive in this role?

• Full‑time enrollment in an accredited college or university throughout the internship program period (May‑August 2027), pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree related to the internship (required)
• Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred.
• Familiarity with relevant software and systems.

Intern compensation is determined based on academic standing and expected graduation date. Hourly rates for this position range from $22.50 to $29.00 per hour ($46,800–$60,320 annualized equivalent).
