Job summary

CIBC is seeking a motivated student for a Summer Internship Program in Illinois. The 10‑week, June–August experience focuses on learning, connecting, and growing through hands-on assignments, structured training and mentorship.

Eligible candidates are pursuing a finance, business, or related degree with a May 2028 graduation window and a 3.0 GPA minimum. The role involves supporting program coordination, coordinating with HR and internal partners, and tracking program metrics while gaining

• Monitor Program Metrics: collect feedback, track participation, and compile data for continuous program improvement.
• Engage with Internal Partners: build relationships across HR and cross-functional teams to support projects and bankwide collaboration.

CIBC's Summer Internship Program is a dynamic, 10-week experience (June through August) designed to complement your academic training and support your career aspirations. Centered around the core theme of Learn, Connect, Grow, the program offers a comprehensive blend of opportunities to expand your skills and professional network. Who You Are

How You'll Succeed

• Support Internship Program Coordination: Assist in organizing and executing early talent programs, including leader connect sessions, peer networking events, & professional development workshops
• Project Management: Coordinate with the early talent team to complete ad hoc projects throughout the program
• Monitor Program Metrics: Collect feedback, track participation, and compile data to support continuous improvement efforts in the program.
• Engage with Internal Partners: Build relationships across the HR team & cross-functional teams to support projects & build relationships across the bank.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected hourly rate of $25.00 per hour for the State of Illinois market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
