Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking multiple 2027 Interns in AI/ML & Data Engineering to build AI tools, data pipelines, and machine learning systems that help Regeneron develop medicines faster and reduce manual work.

Internships are full-time from May/June-August; most roles are onsite, with some hybrid opportunities. Location options include Tarrytown, NY, Warren, NJ, Armonk, NY, Cambridge, MA, Sleepy Hollow, NY.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree and returning to school after the internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Relevant majors include Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Information Technology, Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and test AI solutions that are used on real systems.
• Projects may include building AI agents and LLM-powered applications, mining text with NLP, building and modernizing data pipelines and semantic data models, evaluating AI tools and models, and automating routines with AI-assisted coding tools.
• Expect hands-on software and data engineering, collaborating with scientists and business teams to understand problems and ensure responsible AI use.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and software engineering fundamentals; familiarity with LLM prompting or ML packages; master-level projects favored.

These teams build the AI tools, data pipelines, and machine learning systems that help Regeneron develop medicines faster and reduce manual work.

Location: Tarrytown, NY / Warren, NJ / Armonk, NY / Cambridge, MA / Sleepy Hollow, NY

Timeframe: Our internship positions are full-time from May/June-August; most are onsite, and some roles are hybrid

Pay: Intern and Co-op pay ranges are determined by level of education (year in school) and degree program. The hourly rate range for these locations is: $17.90-$50.90 per hour.

What You'll Do

• Build and test AI solutions that are used on real systems — not shadow projects.
• Projects may include building AI agents and LLM-powered applications, mining text with natural language processing, building and modernizing data pipelines and semantic data models, evaluating and validating AI tools and models, and automating routine workflows with AI-assisted coding tools.
• Expect hands-on software and data engineering, working with scientists and business teams to understand the problem, and responsible, well-governed use of AI.
• Python, SQL, and software engineering fundamentals are typically expected, along with familiarity with LLM prompting or machine learning packages. Several projects are better suited to master's students.
