Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking HR interns for a 12-week summer program in the United States. You will rotate through Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development, and other HR specialties to gain professional growth in a corporate environment.

Interns work full-time onsite for 40 hours per week, with opportunities to relocate to indicated work locations. Sponsorship is not available for this position; applicants across the United States are considered.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled full-time at a 4-year University/College pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in HR, Business with HR emphasis, or related field.
  • Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (no rounding).
  • 12 completed semester hours at a 4-year university before the start of internship or currently participating in a Caterpillar student program.
  • Must relocate to indicated work location for the duration of internship and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in labor relations, total rewards, and HR generalist activities.
  • Support new hire orientation and people analytics efforts.

What You Have:

Internship Program Qualifications:
  • Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year University/College pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree Human Resources, Business with an emphasis in HR, or related degree at the time of application and throughout the program.
  • Minimum 3.0/4.0 Cumulative GPA (no rounding).
  • 12 completed semester hours at a 4-year university before the start of internship or currently participating in a Caterpillar student program.
  • Must be able to relocate to indicated work location for the duration of the internship and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation
Additional Information:

This is a 40-hour-per-week assignment, Monday through Friday, lasting 12 weeks in the summer. This position requires working onsite five days a week.

Intern Pay Range:

$22.50 - $40.25

Intern Hourly Rate:

An intern's hourly rate is based on the major/degree being pursued and the number of completed academic hours achieved before the start of the internship.
