Job summary

UHY International in West Des Moines, IA is seeking a CAS Intern to gain hands-on exposure to client accounting advisory services. You will assist with reconciliations, data entry, and financial reporting for a diverse client base.

You'll work alongside seasoned professionals, attend client meetings, and develop foundational accounting skills through training and practical experience in a professional office environment.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of relevant experience
• Currently enrolled in a college/university pursuing accounting/finance
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconciling financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Work with accounting software to input and verify financial data
• Support the preparation of financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and other relevant reports
• Collaborate with senior accountants to analyze financial data and provide insights

JOB SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assist in reconciling financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

• Support the preparation of financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and other relevant reports

• Collaborate with senior accountants to analyze financial data and provide insights

• Participate in client meetings and interactions to gather financial information, understand client needs, and offer support

Required education and experience

• 0 – 1 year of relevant experience

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

• High School Diploma or GED or High School equivalent certificate

Preferred education and experience

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

• This is a temporary, less than six (6) month internship position
