Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on, on-site leadership role at our rural summer camp facilities across the US. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety and sanitation.

The position is seasonal, May through Sept, requires living on-site, a demanding 6-day/70‑hour week, and offers competitive pay with a bonus structure and room & board for the contract duration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.

Role Summary

• Client Relations: Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
