Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our fast-paced rural summer camp operations across the US. This on-site, live-in position supports daily prep, production, staff oversight, and allergen safety.

You will lead a kitchen team, manage inventory, ensure scratch cooking, monitor portion control, and maintain health and safety standards. The role requires a willingness to live on-site and work a demanding six-day week with extensive hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, cooking, and problem-solving abilities; proficient with iPad.
• Willingness to live on-site in rustic setting and handle a demanding 6-day/70-hour week.

Role Summary

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• Certifications: ServSafe Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Skills: Strong leadership, cooking, able to navigate I-Pad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Lifestyle: Ready to live on-site in a rustic setting, work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week, and thrive under pressure.
