Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands‑on leadership role at a rural summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for a day part, manage staff, and uphold allergen safety in a fast‑paced setting.

This on-site, live-in position requires a 6‑day/70‑hour week, with competitive pay and a travel allowance. You will help maintain quality and safety across multiple camp facilities and coordinate with camp leadership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking skills, able to navigate I-Pad.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting and work a demanding 6‑day/70‑hour week.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Leadership: Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Culinary & Quality Excellence: Operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking execution, and timely meal service.
• Allergen & Safety Compliance: Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain top Health Department sanitation standards.
• Administration & Budget: Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting
• Client Relations: Serve as a liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
