Job description

KKR's 2027 Summer Analyst Program is an opportunity for you to join a leading global investment firm, during your undergraduate career.
Team Overview

KKR's Global Human Capital team provides commercially aligned people strategies by working closely with business leaders, employees, and key stakeholders to deliver on human capital and talent needs. The team implements world-class advisory and talent solutions that drive first-quartile investment performance, create differentiated outcomes aligned with the firm's strategic priorities, provide an exceptional employee experience, preserve and evolve KKR's unique culture, and protect the firm's license to operate. Human Capital is comprised of Business Partners and Centers of Excellence - including Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, People Ops & Data, Culture, and Total Rewards - that together deliver seamless human capital services and solutions across every stage of an employee's lifecycle at KKR.

Program Overview

This is a 10-week in-person internship that will take place from June 7, 2027 - August 13, 2027. This is a rotational internship program in which you'll gain exposure to four different teams across Human Capital, as outlined below. In addition to this, you will attend a 2-day orientation that provides an overview of KKR and alternative investments. You will work on various projects, attend educational and network-building programming, and contribute meaningfully to strategic initiatives. Full-time offers for 2028 may be extended in alignment with both exceptional performance and business headcount needs. If a full-time offer is extended, the role will be based in Boston, MA.

Rotational Teams You Will Work With
Human Capital Business Partners (HCBP)
  • KKR's Human Capital Business Partners are a team of dynamic individuals responsible for providing strategic human capital counsel and support to KKR's employees across every stage of the employee lifecycle. HCBPs serve as trusted advisors to business leaders - aligning people strategy with commercial priorities across talent management, workforce planning, performance, organizational effectiveness, and change. They partner closely with Human Capital Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Talent Development & Culture, People Ops & Data, Total Rewards, DEI) to seamlessly deliver human capital services and solutions to the business.
Talent Acquisition
  • KKR's Talent Acquisition team was launched in 2020 with a small, US-focused effort and today is a global team of 20+ with capabilities spanning campus and early-career pipelines through senior, experienced hires across Asset Management, Insurance, and Business Operations. The team is a tight-knit, collaborative group that values excellence and teamwork and believes KKR's greatest assets are the people working around us. TA partners closely with hiring managers across the firm to identify, attract, assess, and hire talent - driving the strategy, processes, and programs that bring new colleagues into KKR.
People Operations
  • KKR's People Operations team is responsible for the day-to-day execution of Human Capital transactions and support across the employee lifecycle - including onboarding and offboarding, employee transfers, background checks and employment verification, payroll documentation, and general coordination of employee data across the HRIS (Workday). The team collaborates closely with the global Human Capital, Corporate Services & Real Estate, and Technology teams to enhance system processes in line with overall firm goals. Though structured regionally, the remit is global, involving close coordination across the global HC Operations team to ensure seamless, high-quality service to employees.
People Analytics, Technology & Operations (PATO)
  • KKR's PATO team is on a mission to build an industry-leading insights capacity for Human Capital, centralizing "gold-standard" automated reporting at scale as KKR modernizes its People Analytics function and Human Capital tech ecosystem. The team serves as an innovation and design partner to Human Capital and Technology, fueling a culture of evidence-based decision-making and leaning into AI-forward methods to rethink data capture, analysis, and reporting. Analysts, BI professionals, and Research Scientists partner across Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, Operations, and other HC leaders - balancing white-glove service with automation at scale.
Critical Competencies for Success:
  • Anticipated graduation date from an undergraduate or graduate program in December 2027 - June 2028
  • Area of study in Human Resources, Psychology, Economics, Data Science, Humanities, or related field
  • Outstanding academic record
  • Interest in Human Resources, finance, business transformation, operational excellence, and technology-driven change
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint and data visualization (Excel, Tableau, Power BI), with the ability to independently structure findings into a clear, logical narrative
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Curiosity about and openness to adopting emerging AI technologies in day-to-day workflows
  • Familiarity with effective AI prompt design and ability to critically evaluate AI outputs for accuracy and relevance
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with an ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to engage with individuals across all levels in a clear, concise, and professional manner
  • Experience presenting to or supporting senior stakeholders is helpful but not required
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information and maintain discretion
