Job summary

Global Endowment Management, LP (GEM) is an independent investment firm dedicated to designing portfolios for long-term endowments and institutions worldwide. The Investment Internship offers Summer Analysts the chance to lead on client relationships, work on GEM’s investment portfolio, and gain exposure to public and private markets across asset classes.

Responsibilities

• Support institutional portfolio development by conducting enterprise assessments and incorporating stakeholder preferences.
• Develop understanding of alternative asset classes (Public Equity, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Real Assets).
• Synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs into client communications and presentations.
• Aid the team on ad-hoc projects including strategic investment policy reviews, spending simulations, and scenario analysis.
• Monitor existing and research prospective investments globally.
• Gain understanding of strategies used by world-class investment managers.
• Support business development efforts, including RFPs and new client pitches.
• Conduct a research project for, and present results to, GEM’s Investment Team

Job Description

GEM’s Investment Internship offers Summer Analysts the chance to take the lead in various aspects of client relationships, work on projects related to GEM’s investment portfolio, and gain experience across different asset classes in both public and private markets. Summer Analysts can expect to collaborate with members of the Investment team at all levels, from Analysts to Partners.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
