Cognitioworld is seeking a candidate to support tax and audit engagements in a dynamic, client-focused environment. You will research, analyze, and report findings to principals and partners while building strong client relationships.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and proactive communication, with flexibility for remote or hybrid work depending on business needs. Strong CPA trajectory is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with strong academic record.
• GPA of 3.20 or higher is preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting and tax rules.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Complete tax and/or audit engagements for designated clients as directed by your Supervisor or Manager
• Identify and communicate potential problem areas during engagements
• Conduct business-specific research by gathering and analyzing data, interpreting results, compiling reports, and making recommendations to principals and partners
• Develop effective client relationships through professionalism and follow-through
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Working toward a Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance, or have an appropriate balance of education and work experience
• GPA of 3.20 or higher
• Preferred completion of at least one Intermediate Accounting course and preferably on track or qualified to sit for the CPA examination
• Basic understanding of accounting and tax rules
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform work accurately and efficiently with strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
• Ability to work under close supervision and accept constructive feedback
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with colleagues and clients
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Word and Excel) and report writing tools
