Novogradac & Company LLP invites driven students to join our Staff Accountant Intern program in Austin, TX for 2027. You will work across audit and tax engagements, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to client projects and research.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an accounting/finance degree with a GPA of 3.2 or higher, have strong Excel and Word skills, and are on track for CPA eligibility. We offer flexible hours, full-time internship, and potential remote or hybrid options.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; degree obtained is a plus.
• GPA of 3.20 or higher.
• Preferred completion of at least one Intermediate Accounting course and CPA exam eligibility.
• Solid understanding of accounting and tax basics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Complete tax and/or audit engagements for designated clients as directed by supervisor or manager.
• Identify and communicate potential problem areas during engagements.
• Conduct business-specific research, gather and analyze data, interpret results, and prepare reports for principals and partners.
• Develop client relationships through professionalism and follow-through.
• Assist with additional duties and projects as assigned.

Our trendsetting interns learn hands-on what it takes to be a staff accountant for a growing national CPA firm by tackling a variety of different assignments, including audit, tax preparation and research.
