The MSAT DSD group focuses on modeling, digital twins, PAT, and cross-functional collaboration across R&D and manufacturing to accelerate launches and improve processes.

You'll work on hybrid modeling, simulations, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the co‑op/internship.
  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday for the full duration of the co‑op/internship.

We are seeking a highly motivated Spring Co-op to join our Data Science & Digital Transformation team.

MSAT Process Data Science & Digital Transformation (MSAT DSD) is a transversal team within the Global MSAT organization.

MSAT DSD is the data/digital DNA within the processes allowing us to ensure best in class manufacturing & analytical processes, especially by focusing on data/digital innovations & excellence, aiming to guarantee acceleration and securing launches & improvement as well as sustainability for our current processes.

The Co-op position is in DSD Process Modeling & Control group.

The group develops and implements advanced process modeling and technologies (e.g. Digital twins, PAT) to enable Sanofi to better understand, monitor, and control the manufacturing operations, and deliver innovative, robust, and cost-effective next-generation processes.

The group is highly cross functional in its interactions across R&D and manufacturing, and provides scientific, technical, process engineering expertise to these organizations.

About You
Basic Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the Internal requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university throughout the duration of the co‑op/internship.
  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday to Friday for the full duration of the co‑op/internship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of computer programming concepts (Python preferred)
  • Understanding of basic chemical reaction mechanisms and empirical equations.
  • Understanding of basic concepts of cell growth and metabolism
  • Experience with scientific literature search.
  • Experience with mechanistic, statistical, and/or machine learning techniques preferred.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $35 -$57 USD hourly. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
