Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA offers an on-site Software Tools and Assurance internship in the Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD). You will contribute to software-centric projects with open source languages and cloud-native patterns.

You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, gain hands-on experience with Java, C/C++, Python, and modern tooling, and receive mentorship for 10 weeks while pursuing a degree. This position requires U.S.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related program.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term.
• Hands-on experience with application design, software development, and automated testing.

Aerospace Corporation is hiring Software Tools and Assurance interns in the Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD). This position will be in El Segundo, CA.

Job Summary

Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD) staff couple the latest in information system technologies, such as elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real-time operating systems, and visualization frameworks, with expertise in cyber security, software architecture, software engineering, data science, Artificial Intelligence, process improvement, and software development to deliver responsive, resilient, high-performance software intensive systems to our Intelligence Community, DoD, and civilian customers.

Work Model

This position will be located 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements:

• Currently enrolled full-time at an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related program
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full‑time after completion of the internship
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Hands‑on expertise with application design, software development, and automated testing
• Experienced in one or more common programming languages including Java, C/C++, and Python
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
• Transcripts required.

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade‑based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills. (Min - Max) $25.00 - $35.00 Pay Basis: Hourly
