Job summary

KCN is seeking a Campground Maintenance worker to keep campground buildings, facilities and grounds well-maintained and safe. Responsibilities include basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks, pool/spa upkeep, landscaping, and assisting Housekeeping or Guest Services as needed.

Candidates should have basic knowledge of electrical/plumbing, chemical handling, propane/gas dispensing, a valid driver’s license, and be available for nights, weekends, and holidays. Background checks apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs and maintenance to campground buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds as directed by the Campground Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor, or the owner(s).
• Implement daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and cleaning programs as instituted by the Campground Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor or the owner(s), including the pool/spa, lawn mowing, weed eating, landscaping, garbage pick-up, propane pumping, game machine, laundry servicing and various other campground equipment upkeep.
• Comply with all KOA, federal, state and local safety programs by adhering to established guidelines in the operation and storage of various equipment, tools, and chemicals, ensuring safety for staff and campground customers.
• Provide superior customer service by being attentive, responsive, and helpful to guests' needs. Report all customer problems, requests or complaints to the Campground Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor, or the owner(s).
• Assist with Housekeeping or Guest Services duties on which you are qualified to perform.

Position Summary

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, lift and carry 25 pounds regularly.
• Able to push and/or pull approximately 200 pounds.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Must be able to operate various loud and vibrating maintenance tools and equipment.
• Requires the use of hands/fingers to handle or feel.
• Able to travel by auto.
• Long periods of standing, bending, kneeling and walking.
• Able to work inside and outdoors frequently and in various climates.
• Capable of moving safely over uneven terrain.

Salary: $12 - $14 per hour
