Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is offering a 2027 Service Delivery Internship in New Jersey. The program immerses you in BBH’s culture with hands-on projects across Investor Services Service Delivery, mentor support, and professional development opportunities.

Interns gain experience handling high-volume financial transactions, collaborating with global clients, and leveraging data and technology, including Generative AI tools.

Qualifications

• Current junior in college, entering senior year in Fall 2027, with a background in and passion for Business, Innovation and Design, or Project Management.
• Strong academic achievement as evidenced by a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
• Demonstrated leadership skills through academic and extracurricular activities.
• Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal; ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
• Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on learning through meaningful projects supporting Investor Services Service Delivery across operations and global client service.
• Manage high-volume financial transactions with accuracy and meet critical deadlines.
• Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and escalate findings when appropriate.
• Build relationships across the business by communicating clearly with internal and external clients and counterparties.

What you can expect from a BBH Service Delivery Internship:

• Join a dynamic team at the heart of global operations, partnering with business leaders to deliver insights and information to support internal stakeholders and clients.
• Gain hands‑on experience managing high-volume financial transactions with accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to meeting critical deadlines.
• Put your analytical and problem-solving skills to work by investigating discrepancies, identifying root causes, and escalating findings when appropriate.
• Build relationships across the business by communicating clearly and confidently with internal and external clients and counterparties to resolve issues and help minimize risk.
• Learn what exceptional client service looks like in practice and contribute to the high-quality experience BBH delivers to clients around the world.
• Share ideas to improve operational efficiency and individual productivity, contribute to department and BBH process improvement activities.
• Take on specialized projects where you will work with large data sets, uncover meaningful insights, and help inform operational decisions.
• Exposure to leading edge financial services technology including Generative AI tools.
• Collaborate with fellow interns on a high-visibility team project and present your recommendations to senior leaders.

Areas of focus may include:

• Fund Accounting - processing activities within funds, compiling reporting, assisting with NAV process, Alternatives / Private Markets operations
• Custody Operations - processing client instructions, document validation, verifying and validating transactions, participating in client calls
• Global Client Service - Participating in client meetings, handling inquiries, compiling reporting
• Transformation Management - automating processes for operational teams, compiling data, assisting with project-based documents

What Service Delivery Operations looks for in an Intern:

• Sound judgment and demonstrated ability to identify, elevate, and resolve problems.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to analyze business processes to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Experience or interest in working with large quantities of information for analysis.
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint - comfortable using common formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP, IF), building basic charts, and creating/manipulating pivot tables for simple analysis.
• Passion and intellectual curiosity for learning, and the use of generative AI tools.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary Range $25/hr + sign-on bonus
• BBH and its affiliates' compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing.
