Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Enrollment in a post-secondary dairy science, animal science, agricultural business or related area of study preferred.
• Reliable transportation to report to work on time.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Assist the sire department with gathering information and maintaining data to prepare bulls for marketing.
• Assist marketing with preparing cattle for photography, including clipping, grooming and fitting cattle.
• Carry out a data analysis project to provide insight about bull development or a bull’s future marketing capabilities.
• Work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; duties may change to meet departmental needs.
