Job summary

AbbVie invites ambitious interns to join its Global Procurement team for an 11-week summer program. You will work on meaningful assignments across strategic sourcing, supplier management, analytics, and digital innovation, gaining exposure to global procurement processes and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics or related field.
• Must be enrolled in university the semester after the internship.
• Demonstrated leadership through academics, activities or work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.

2027 Global Procurement Intern Overview:

Envision spending your summer working with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders, all while gaining world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a reality forGlobal Procurement Interns at AbbVie. As a GlobalProcurement Intern, you will participate in a paid11-week summer program working on meaningful assignments that impact our business and patients worldwide.

You will gain exposure to AbbVie's global Procurement organization and contribute to projects across areas such as strategic sourcing, category and supplier management, analytics, risk, sustainability, and digital innovation. Assignments may vary based on business needs, skills, and interests.

Key responsibilitiesmay include:

• Support strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, and other Procurement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field with expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2028.

• Must be enrolled in university the semester following the internship.

• Demonstrated leadership through academics, extracurricular activities, work experience, or community involvement.

• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Demonstrated teamwork, initiative, adaptability, and eagerness to learn.

• Interest in procurement, supply chain, business strategy, analytics, or supplier management.

• Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, AI, automation, or similar tools is a plus.
